DNSai for ChatGPT

Add DNSai to ChatGPT as a custom MCP app (developer mode) and research domains, email security and DNS changes from any chat. ChatGPT signs in with OAuth. Teams that still use custom GPTs can import DNSai's OpenAPI spec as an action.

27 of 412 domains in your "Q4 targets" folder use Mimecast, including adatum.example and litware.example. Five of them added it in the last 30 days.

“What changed at litware.example this month?”

Two changes: an SPF include for _spf.salesforce.com was added on Oct 9, and the nameservers moved to Cloudflare on Oct 21.

“Export every DMARC change since October 1.”

Enter the DNSai MCP server address and choose OAuth.
Sign in to DNSai, approve access, and turn DNSai on in a chat.

Security

ChatGPT signs in with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE. You approve the connection in DNSai and can revoke it at any time; no key is pasted anywhere.
Account and organization owners can make API keys and assistants read-only, so they can read your data but never change it or start scans.
Starting a credit-spending Deep Scan always needs an estimate and your explicit confirmation.
DNSai data comes from public DNS and web records. Your watchlists, notes and tags stay private to your account and are only shared with an AI tool you connect yourself.

Questions

Can I use an API key with ChatGPT?

Not with MCP apps: ChatGPT only supports OAuth sign-in for them, which DNSai provides. Custom GPT actions can use an API key with the OpenAPI spec.

Are custom GPTs still supported?

OpenAI is retiring custom GPTs in favour of apps (for Enterprise workspaces, planned for December 11, 2026), so new setups should use the MCP app.
